Just reading that reminds me of CHEERS on TV. Many times, this is how our customers feel when they come into any one of our four American State Bank locations. They know they will feel comfortable and “at home” when they step in or use the drive‐up. As a Financial Services Representative, I get to know my customers pretty well. It starts to feel like one big family. We share our joys, sorrows, praises, fun teasing, and many smiles.

When my family and I lived in Albuquerque, New Mexico, I would go to the bank each week. I would have to pick up a number and wait for the next available cashier. There wasn’t a nice, “Hello Lisa, how are you doing today?” or even the choice on which cashier/teller I wanted to go to. At American State Bank, there are some of our customers we know and help so often that we know their account numbers, and even know how they want their cash back when they come to withdraw. Sometimes, a customer coming through the drive‐up will say, “Hello Lisa!” and it makes me smile that they know me as well.
